Just after filing for divorce, Su Manqing is haunted by a terrifying nightmare. Without her husband’s protection, she is reported by her stepmother and stepsister and sent to the countryside, where she suffers endless hardship. In the end, she is forced to marry an old widower and dies a tragic death.
Even after dying, her soul cannot move on. Helplessly, she watches her former husband, Huo Yuanzheng, the man she once looked down on as rough and unromantic, hold her broken body in grief. After being knocked unconscious and waking up, he becomes ruthless, taking revenge on everyone who ruined her life and making them pay for what they did.
When Su Manqing suddenly wakes from the nightmare, she realizes she is about to be reported just as before. Without hesitation, she heads straight to the military base.
On the island, Huo Yuanzheng has been waiting for approval of their divorce. Instead, he receives a notice informing him that his family member will be accompanying the army.
His family member?
Accompanying the army?
At first, Huo Yuanzheng glares at Su Manqing with a dark expression.
“Get lost! Do you think playing with me is funny?”
Before long, however, he began questioning everything he thought he knew.
The woman who had desperately insisted on divorcing him was not only carrying his child, but she had also become unbelievably sweet, her honeyed words effortlessly melting his heart.
Huo Yuanzheng tried to keep a stern face and tell her to behave more seriously, but the corners of his mouth kept curling upward, and he felt so lighthearted that even walking seemed like floating on air.
